En analyse av utskiftningskart og utskiftningsprotokoller i perioden 1821 til 1859

Abstract

Denne oppgaven er en analyse av utskiftningskart og utskiftningsprotokoller i perioden 1821 til 1859. Oppgaven tar sikte på å belyse et område av utskiftningshistorien som tidligere ikke er grundig studert. Hovedproblemstillingen er: Hva kan vi finne ut om innholdet i utskiftninger i perioden 1821 til 1859, ved å analysere utskiftningsdokumenter fra perioden den første landsdekkende utskiftningsloven gjaldt? Vi spesifiserer denne med tre underproblemstillinger:

* Hvilke detaljer og innhold er vanlige i utskiftningskart i denne perioden? * Hvilke detaljer og innhold er vanlige i utskiftningsprotokoller i denne perioden? * Hvordan viser bruken av 1821-loven seg i utskiftningsdokumenter? Oppgaven er delt inn i 5 kapitler, innledning, teori, metode, resultater og drøfting. Sist i oppgaven ligger vedlegg til oppgaven. På grunn av stort omfang av vedlegg, er analyseskjemaene fra analysen lagt til som et separat vedlegg.

Datagrunnlaget består av en samling avskrifter fra tidsperioden, og en samling av utskiftingskart fra perioden. Vi har brukt en kombinasjon av kvalitativ dokumentanalyse og kvantitativ analyse. Innsamlingen av data involverte bruk av analyseskjemaer og analysetabeller, og brev til mulige informanter.

Analyseringen har innebært en systematisk gjennomgang av nesten 200 dokumenter, og vi har samlet inn en stor mengde data.

I analysen og datainnsamlingen har prosessen vært interessant, men også utfordrende. Annerledes språk og varierende lesbarhet i dokumentene har vært hovedutfordringene.

Vi har samlet en stor mengde data fra utskiftningsdokumentene vi har studert. Dataene våre dekker et bredt utvalg av aspekter som er interessante å se på i historiske utskiftninger.

This thesis is an analysis of land consolidation maps and land consolidation protocols from the period 1821 to 1859. The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on an area of land consolidation history that has not been thoroughly studied before. The main research question is: What can we discover about the content of land consolidations in the period 1821 to 1859 by analyzing land consolidation-documents from when the first nationwide land consolidation law was in effect? We specify this with three sub-questions.

* What details and content are common in land consolidation maps during this period? * What details and content are common in land consolidation protocols during this period? * How does the use of the 1821-law manifest in the land consolidation documents? This thesis is divided into five chapters; introduction, theory, method, results and discussion. The appendices are located at the end of the thesis. Due to the extensive nature of the appendices, the analysis-forms from the analysis have been included as a separate appendix.

The data foundation consists of a collection of transcriptions from the time period and a collection of land consolidation maps from the period. We have utilized a combination of qualitative document analysis and quantitative analysis. The data collection involved the use of analysis forms and tables, as well as letters to potential informants. The analysis process has entailed a systematic review of nearly 200 documents, and we have gathered a large amount of data.

The analysis and data collection process has been both interesting and challenging. Different language usage and varying legibility in the documents have been the main challenges.

We have gathered a substantial amount of data from the land exchange documents we have studied. Our data covers a wide range of aspects that are interesting to examine in historical land exchanges.
