The study assessed the influence of land grabbing on urban migration in Ghana. Findings from the study revealed that victims perceived land-grabbing as a practice that involved the use of force, as a practice that caused pain, as a deliberate plan to make the rich richer and the poor poorer, and finally a practice that did not involve the necessary consultation and compensation. The study concludes that individuals who had their land dispossessed from them migrated to urban areas such as Kumasi, Accra, and the Northern region. Some of the victims also had the intention to migrate but could not relocate to the urban areas due to reasons such as money.
