| dc.description.abstract | Formålet med oppgaven er å sette søkelys på tidsbruk i samspillsfasen og spesifikt samspillsfasens varighet. Oppgaven skal besvares ved hjelp av følgende forskningsspørsmål:
* Hvor lang er samspillsfasens varighet i norske byggeprosjekter?
* Hvor lang bør samspillsfasens varighet være, og hvilken innvirkning har den på prosjektet?
Gjennom et litteraturstudie, med fokus på fagfellevurderte artikler og bransjenormer, ble det opparbeidet grunnleggende kunnskap om temaet.
Forskningsspørsmålene ble besvart gjennom dokumentstudier av offentlig tilgjengelige konkurransegrunnlag for å kartlegge samspillsfasens varighet. Semistrukturerte intervjuer med nøkkelpersoner med forskjellige roller i samspill ble brukt for å få dyptgående svar om samspillsfasen og dens effekter.
Fra dokumentstudiet kommer det fram at samspillsfasens varighet kan variere fra 3 til 12 måneder, hvorav den typiske fasen er 6 måneder. I resultatene fra intervjurunden varierer samspillsfasen fra 2 til 18 måneder. I oppgaven foreslås det å dele opp samspillsfasene i kort (opp til seks måneder), middels (seks til ni måneder) og lang (over ni måneder). Hvorav det var flest prosjekter med middels samspillsfase.
Kompleksitet kan trekkes fram som en viktig faktor ved avgjørelse av samspillsfasens varighet. Ved høy kompleksitet anbefales en lang samspillsfase, og ved moderat kompleksitet anbefales en middels samspillsfase.
I prosjekter som er preget av lav kompleksitet anbefales nødvendigvis ikke samspillsentreprise, da behovet for innovasjon er mindre. Samspillsfasen kan kreve en del ressurser, som kan påvirke prosjektøkonomien mer negativt enn fordelene den gir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the thesis is to investigate time spent in the development phase of partnering, and specifically the duration the development phase of partnering. This phase is known as samspillsfasen in Norwegian, it is the phase where the project is developed jointly before the construction phase. The thesis will be answered through the following research questions:
* How long is the duration of the development phase of partnering in Norwegian construction projects?
* How long should the duration of the development phase be, and what impact does the duration have on the project?
Through a literature study, with the focus on peer-reviewed articles and industry standards, basic knowledge on the topic was achieved. To answer the research questions, document studies of publicly available tender documentation were carried out to map the duration of the development phase. In addition, semi-structured interviews with key personnel, professionals with different roles and experience with partnering, were conducted to get in-depth answers about the development phase and its effects.
From the document study it emerged that the duration of the development phase can wary from 3 to 12 months, of which the typical figure is 6 months. In the results from the interviews the development phase varies from 2 to 18 months. In the thesis, it is proposed to divide the interaction phases into short (up to six months), medium (six to nine months) and long (over nine months). Of which there were most projects with a medium development phase.
Complexity can be highlighted as an important factor when determining the duration of the development phase of partnering. For high complexity, a long development phase is recommended, and for medium complexity, a medium long development phase is recommended.
In projects characterized by low complexity, partnering is not necessarily recommended, as the need for innovation is less. The development phase may require a number of resources, which may affect the project economy more negatively than the benefits it provides. | |
