| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation focuses on the Furuset Village project in Oslo, which aims to combine environmental, social, and economic sustainability in housing design. The study examines the perceptions of key informants involved in housing development and urban planning through semi-structured interviews, as well as the housing needs and economic conditions of Furuset residents through questionnaires. The findings suggest that the role of the municipality of Oslo was determinant in the cost of the project and that there are two prevailing perceptions of the project's overall sustainability. The project might be able to respond to the housing needs of respondents, but affordability remains a concern. The study contributes to the discussion of urban sustainable development and housing accessibility in Oslo. | |
