dc.description.abstract | Forest protection is one of the most feasible mitigating strategies for climate change. Yet, the work to protect forests in Norway has come to a standstill. The thesis aimed to understand perception of how two forest protection policies are formulated and their outcome. Utilising semi-structured interviews, this is a comparative study of two forest protection policies, Voluntarty Agreement and Traditional Conservation in Norway. The findings show two complicated governance system where economic- and civil society actors represent two distinct perceptions. | |
