dc.description.abstract | En utfordring i dagens vannforvaltning er mangel på et godt kunnskapsgrunnlag. Alle våre bekker, elver, innsjøer og kystvann i Norge skal forvaltes etter forskrift om ramme for vannforvaltning (vannforskriften). Et krav i vannforskriften er at vannforvaltningen vi driver skal være kunnskapsbasert. Vannforskriften stiller også et krav om medvirkning. På lokalt nivå ble det i 2019 kartlagt hovedutfordringer for Nordland vannregion. Her ble det trukket fram at en utfordring i vannregion var at flere av vannområdene opplevde at de ikke hadde nok eller et godt nok kunnskapsgrunnlag, et annet punkt som ble trukket fram var mangel på organisering og politisk forankring. En løsning som i økende grad blir tatt i bruk i Europa er å la «folk flest» bidra med kunnskapsinnhenting i form av folkeforskning. Denne oppgaven handler om hvordan innbyggerne kan involveres ved bruk av folkeforskning, på en måte som styrker kunnskapsgrunnlaget til vannforvaltningen. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | A challenge in today's water management is the lack of a good knowledge base. All our streams, rivers, lakes and coastal waters in Norway must be managed in accordance with the regulations of the framework for water management (water regulations). A requirement in the water regulations is that the water management must be knowledge-based. The water regulations also require participation. At local level, the main challenges for the Nordland water region were mapped in 2019. Here it was highlighted that a challenge in the water region, was that several of the river basin areas felt that they did not have enough or a good enough knowledge base, another point that was highlighted was a lack of organization and political anchoring.
A solution that is increasingly being taken in use in Europe is to let citizens contribute with knowledge in the form of citizen science. This thesis is about how citizens can be involved by using citizen science, in a way that strengthens the knowledge base for water management. The overarching issue is "How can citizen science strengthen the knowledge base in water management, and what are the barriers that need to be broken down to make that happen?". | en_US |
