Sirkulær økonomi i grøntanlegg

Abstract

Den kjente lineære økonomien hvor et produkt blir laget, brukt, og så kastet er på vei mot en sirkulær økonomi. Der er hovedmålet å holde produktene og ressursene i et kontinuerlig kretsløp hvor minimalt ender opp som avfall. Med tiden vil dette nye systemet spre seg til alle de ulike næringene vi har. Anleggsbransjen og grønt sektoren er en næring med masse potensiale, men det er fortsatt lite vi vet om det. I løpet av de siste årene har begrepet sirkulærøkonomi blitt mer og mer relevant. Det blir omtalt en del i bygge bransjen, men har et stykke å gå når det kommer til anleggsbransjen. I oppgaven min vil jeg undersøke hva sirkulær økonomi betyr for grøntanleggsprosjekter og hvordan dette kan gjennomføres i praksis. Det har blitt tatt i bruk flere ulike metoder for å kunne svare på oppgaven på en god måte. Jeg har gjennomført litteraturstudie, sett på sirkulær økonomiske tiltak i norske grøntanlegg, hatt en spørreundersøkelse og hatt mange gode samtaler med ulike fagfolk. Funnene tilsier at bransjen er i gang med innføring av sirkulær økonomiske tiltak i prosjektene, men at det er behov for økt fokus på temaet og enklere tilrettelegging. FNs bærekraftsmål har fungert som en drivkraft til å skape flere strategier og handlingsplaner som skal veilede bransjen. Dette har ført til lansering av digitale plattformer som Loopfront og sertifiseringsverktøy som CEEQUAL. Til slutt, har jeg laget et forslag til en sjekkliste som kan brukes for å fremme sirkularitet i anleggsprosjekter.

The well-known linear economy where a product is made, used, and then thrown away is heading towards a circular economy. There, the main goal is to keep the products and resources in a continuous cycle where minimal ends up as waste. Over time, the new system will spread to all the different industries we have. The construction industry and the green sector are industries with a lot of potential, but there is still little we know about it. In recent years, the concept of circular economy has become more and more relevant. It is mentioned a lot in the construction industry, but still has a way to go when it comes to the green sector. In my thesis I will investigate what circular economy means for green space projects and how this can be carried out in practice. Several different methods have been used to be able to respond to the thesis in a good way. I have conducted a literature study, looked at circular economic measures in Norwegian green spaces, had a survey and had many good conversations with various professionals. The findings indicate that the industry is in the process of introducing circular economic measures in the projects, but that there is a need for increased focus on the topic and easier adaptation. The UN's Sustainable Development Goals have served as a driving force for creating more strategies and action plans to guide the industry. This has led to the launch of digital platforms such as Loopfront and certification tools such as CEEQUAL. Finally, I have made a proposal for a checklist that can be used to promote circularity in green space projects.
