Lekearealer for barn i tettby

Abstract

Det skal gjennom oppgaven diskuteres hva som er gode lekearealer og hvilke betydning de har for barn i tettby. Det finnes regelverk som sikrer barns trygghet mot skade på lekeplasser, og det jobbes med å bedre kvaliteter på lekearealene for å best mulig oppfylle barnas behov. Et sentralt punkt går ut på at barn skal ha lekeområder enkelt tilgjengelig, med nærhet til grøntarealer. Denne oppgaven tar for seg barns behov i tettby med fokus på trygghet, sikkerhet og tilgjengelighet. Oppgaven har Grønland og Tøyen som caseområde på grunn av områdenes levekårsutfordringer. Faktorer som sosial bærekraft, kriminalitet og befolkningstetthet øker presset på utearealer, og derfor er det nødvendig at slike plasser er tilgjengelige, attraktive og trygge, spesielt for barn. Det er viktig at det er tatt høyde for nok utfordringer for ulike aldersgrupper, og at det er tilrettelagt aktivitet og stor nok bredde i tilbudet på lekeplassen. Utformingen av en lekeplass vil ha en effekt på hvordan den oppleves. Den kan øke tryggheten til lekeplassen, samtidig som å redusere sjansen for kriminelle handlinger. Det skal presenteres en sammenligning av Sørli lekeplass og Gartnerløkka på Tøyen, og Olafiagangen på Grønland.

Through this thesis, it will be discussed what good playground are and which conventional uses they provide for the community. There are numerous regulations that ensures children’s safety against injuries at the playgrounds. Moreover, highlighting the efforts which are being made to improve the quality of the play areas. These are done with the purpose of fulfilling the necessities of a child and best ensuring they are met. A key point is that children should have playgrounds easily accessible, with proximity to greenery. This task addresses the needs of children in urban areas with immense focus on safety, security, and accessibility. This task has Grønland and Tøyen as case-areas, due to the challenges these living conditions present for the community. Factors such as social sustainability, criminality, and population density only further increase the pressure on outdoor areas, therefore it is necessary to make such places accessible, attractive, and safe, especially for children. It is important that there are enough challenges for different age groups, and that there is adapted activity. Furthermore, large enough breadth within the playground would be integral to help with the challenges. The design of a playground will influence how it is experienced. To conclude, it can increase the security of the playground, while reducing the chance of criminal acts. A comparison of Sørli playground, project SuperGrønland- Olafigangen and Gartnerløkka at Tøyen will also be presented.
