Gårdsturisme i Østerdalen

Abstract

Denne oppgaven var en casestudie om produktutvikling på Nordstu Gård. Videre var fokuset på hvordan Nordstu Gård kunne videreutvikle seg som en turistvirksomhet, og det tas utgangspunktet i følgende problemstilling: ● Hvordan kan Nordstu gård utvikle seg til en turistvirksomhet med utgangspunktet i ressurser som eksisterer i Østerdalen? For å svare på denne problemstillingen ble det gjennomført semi-strukturerte dybdeintervjuer med tre reiselivsaktører i Østerdalen, to informanter i tilknytning til Nordstu Gård, og to informanter som var eksperter innen reiseliv. I oppgaven vil funnene fra disse intervjuene diskuteres og sammenlignes med relevant forskningslitteratur, før anbefalt videre arbeid ble presentert. Reiselivsaktørene i Østerdalen hadde først og fremst lyst og evne til å skape opplevelser og begeistring for sine turister ut fra lokale ressurser og historier. Informantene i tilknytning til Nordstu Gård ønsket også å bruke sin gård for å skape opplevelser og begeistring. Reiselivsaktørene i Østerdalen og informanter i tilknytning til Nordstu Gård hadde sett at gårdsturisme hadde bidratt til gode minner basert på lokale ressurser. Geografisk plassering til reiselivsaktørene i Østerdalen sin virksomhet var også en faktor for å skape, og tilrettelegge for opplevelser og aktiviteter. Informantene som var eksperter innen reiseliv forklarte at samarbeid, og et større fokus på destinasjonsutvikling er avgjørende for å bli et attraktivt sted å reise til. Det var også avgjørende å ha hatt kjennskap til sine turister, hva turistene ønsket nå, og hva turistene vil ha forbedret i fremtiden.

This task was a case study on product development at Nordstu farm. Furthermore, the focus was on how Nordstu farm could further develop as a tourist business, and the following issue is taken into account: ● How can Nordstu farm develop into a tourist business based on resources that exist in Østerdalen? To answer this question, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with three tourism actors in Østerdalen, two informants in connection with Nordstu farm, and two informants who were experts in tourism. In the thesis, the findings of these interviews will be discussed and compared with relevant research literature, before the recommended further work was presented. The tourism players in Østerdalen primarily wanted and were able to create experiences and excitement for their tourists based on local resources and stories. The informants in connection with Nordstu Gård also wanted to use their farm to create experiences and excitement. The tourism actors in Østerdalen and informants in connection with Nordstu farm had explained that farm tourism had contributed to good memories based on local resources. Geographical location of the tourism operators in Østerdalen's activities was also a factor in creating, facilitating, experiences and activities. The informants who were experts in tourism explained that cooperation, and a greater focus on destination development, are crucial to becoming an attractive place to travel to. It was also crucial to have knowledge of their tourists, what the tourists wanted now, and what the tourists will have improved in the future.
