Carbon dioxide reduction has always been a significant water treatment stage in recirculating aquaculture systems due to the high load in land-based fish farms. CO2 levels over 15 mg/L have been shown to affect optimum fish growth and health. Liquid reactions with carbon dioxide and their kinetics in aquaculture environments is much more complicated than the removal of oxygen or nitrogen gas. For these factors, an analysis was conducted on a small scale to determine the effects of aeration using the air through water principle. This thesis was developed with consideration of simple concepts and reasonable efficiency by changing the influencing parameters of a diffuser to improve results.en_US
