Abstract
Denne studiens tema er tillit mellom leder og medarbeider. Formålet er å undersøke hva som har betydning for tillit mellom leder og medarbeider i to virksomheter i Fredrikstad kommune.
Problemstilling:
Hvilke faktorer som leder og medarbeider kan påvirke har betydning for tilliten mellom leder og medarbeider, og er det en sammenheng mellom hvordan respondenten tolker sin egen atferd og tilliten?
For å svare på problemstillingen er det først brukt kvalitativ metode, etterfulgt av kvantitativ metode. Det ble utført totalt seks semistrukturerte intervjuer, og utsendt to spørreskjemaer, ett til ledere og ett til medarbeidere. Det ble sendt spørreskjemaer til totalt 64 respondenter.
Resultatene tyder på, at for at medarbeidere skal ha tillit til ledere følgende faktorer mest viktig: Integritet, åpenhet og tilbakemelding om jobbutførsel. For at ledere skal ha tillit til medarbeidere er forutsigbarhet og velvilje de mest viktige faktorene. Resultatene tyder også på at tilliten er gjensidig mellom leder og medarbeider. The theme of this study is trust between a manager and employee. The purpose is to study what’s of significance to impact the level of trust between a manager and employee in two departments in the city of Fredrikstad.
Approach to the problem:
Which parameters, which a manager and employee can affect, is of significance to the level of trust between them? Is it a coherence between how the respondents interprets their own behavior and trust?
The approach used in the study is to first use a qualitative method followed up by a quantitative method. To accomplish this, the study uses six semistructured interviews and two sets of questionnaires. One set of questionnaires for the managers, and one set of questionnaires for the employees. The questionnaires include a total of 64 respondents.
The study implies that a concrete set of parameters are important for the employees to be able to trust the managers. These are the most important ones: Workrelated feedback from the manager, integrity and openness.
The parameters that are most important for a manager to be able to trust the employees are predictability and benevolence. The results also implied that trust is mutual between a manager and employee.
