Trengs det ei reguleringsordning for guidar i det naturbaserte reiseliv i Noreg? : ei kvalitativ innhaldsanalyse av argument for og imot regulering av guida tenester

Abstract

Denne masteroppgåva tar sikte på å undersøkja om det trengs ei reguleringsordning for guidar i naturbasert reiseliv i Noreg – eller ikkje. For å gje svar på problemstillinga blei det nytta ei kvalitativ innhaldsanalyse for å avdekkja argument for eller imot regulering. Argumenta og haldningane har vidare blitt analysert i lys av det teoretiske rammeverket som blant anna inneheld operasjonalisering av omgrepa regulering og naturbasert reiseliv. Studien skildrar historiske linjer knytt til regulering, inkludert noverande juridiske rammer. Kvifor ein leiger guide, kva eigenskapar ein guide burde ha og korleis guiden kan skapa gode opplevingar er alle viktige faktorar i det vidare analysearbeidet.

The aim of thisthesisis to examine if there is a need for further regulation of guides in naturebased tourism in Norway. To answer this question, I used a qualitative content analysis to expose arguments for or against regulations. The arguments and its content were analysed with the theoretical framework in mind, which contains operationalization of the concepts of regulation and nature-based tourism. This study portrays historical lines about regulations, including todays legal framework. Why people choose to rent a guided experience, which personal characteristics the guide should have and how they could facilitate a good experience are important factors in the further analysis.
