dc.description.abstractThe migration of labour out of agriculture can have a profound effect on agricultural production, consumption and income distribution in rural areas of third world countries. This study examines the effect of labour-out-migration in Mardi watershed area in Nepal. The study was based on the data collected through a formal questionnaire administered to 200 households selected randomly from three Village Development Committees (Lwangghalel, Lahachowk and Rivan). Informal interwiew was also used to collect relevant data and information from key informants, which included village elders and local officials.nb_NO
