Ski i vekst : fra visjon til virkelighet : blågrønn infrastruktur som middel til bærekraftig utvikling

Abstract

Fortetting ved trafikknutepunkt er et krav fra regjeringshold i Norge. Follobanen, som er under bygging mellom Oslo S og Ski, vil korte ned transporttiden til 11 minutter når den åpner i 2021. Oppgaven tar for seg utfordringene som Ski står overfor som vekstkommune, regionby og kollektivknutepunkt. Ski - som kommune og liten by - skal gjennom en transformasjon med stor befolkningsvekst og tilhørende utvikling, og det legges opp til store endringer i eksisterende bebygd areal og utvikling av nye områder.

Densification at public transport hubs is a requirement from the Norwegian government. In Ski, Follobanen, one of Norway’s most expensive transport projects, will bring people between Ski and Oslo in 11 minutes when opening in 2021. A major increase in population in the region is expected, and for that to happen, transformation of existing areas and development of new ones will need to take place. This thesis will focus on sustainable development in order to contribute to Ski’s future as a sustainable and greener city. An active use of the landscape could give present and future citizens a stronger sense of place identity as well as improved physical and mental health through outdoor work and play, better accessibility (mobility), and enhanced social networking and social capital. The scope is to investigate how a coherent blue and green structure can contribute to a development that is sustainable - in terms of ecology, social life and economy.
