Varmegjenvinning fra datasentre i Oslo med tilknytning til fjernvarmenettet

Abstract

The purpose of the master's thesis is to investigate the possibility of heat recovery from existing data centers and new data centers in Oslo with connection to the district heating network of Hafslund. The master's thesis examines, among other things, the market for heat recovery from data centers, the development of framework conditions, possible climate gains through changes in the production mix and various business models. The market survey highlights the needs, objectives and requirements of stakeholders, and illustrates what is needed for a successful cooperation between Hafslund and data centers. This is used as the basis for the Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, which is the selected method for evaluating alternative concept solutions.

Formålet med masteroppgaven er å undersøke om det er mulighet for varmegjenvinning fra eksisterende datasentre og nytt datasenter i Oslo med tilknytning til fjernvarmenettet til Hafslund Varme. Masteroppgaven undersøker blant annet markedet for varmegjenvinning hos datasentre, utvikling av rammevilkår, mulig klimagevinst ved endring av produksjonsmiks og ulike forretningsmodeller. Markedsundersøkelsen kartlegger behov, mål og krav ved tilknytning og belyser hva som skal til for å få til et samarbeid mellom Hafslund Varme og datasentre. Dette er brukt som grunnlag for konseptvalgutredningen, som er benyttet som metode for evaluering av alternative løsninger for tilknytning.
