Sammendrag
CO2 capture technology by the use of amines is a promising method for reduction of CO2 emissions. However, the by-products of the amines created by reactions in the atmosphere have raised concern. This M.Sc. evaluates the toxicity of one nitrosamine (NDMA) and one nitramine (DMNA), two by-products in the degradation of amines that are considered a potensial threat to the environment and human health. Toxicity is evaluated by the use of C.elegans, a nematode frequently used in biomedical and ecotoxicological studies.
