Produksjon av enkeltcelleprotein (SCP) fra trevirke: Bærekraft og effekter
Abstract
This master’s thesis examines the potential for producing single-cell protein (SCP) from various woody biomass sources in Norway. With increasing demand for sustainable protein solutions in fish production, the study focuses on Norway's abundant forest resources, including sawmill by-products, forest residues, and wood waste. The research aims to evaluate the feasibility of using these woody biomass types for SCP production, emphasizing sustainability and its impacts. Additionally, the thesis investigates the interplay between SCP production and bioethanol production, seeking to provide insights into sustainable feed alternatives.
