Abstract

This thesis explores the critical link between effective natural resource management (NRM) and achieving peace and sustainable development in conflict-prone, resource-rich regions in Baringo County, Kenya. The research highlights the importance of community involvement and integrating indigenous knowledge through a comprehensive analysis incorporating diverse viewpoints. These strategies, I believe, can foster collaboration, address resource scarcity, and build enduring peace by promoting a sense of shared responsibility and empowering communities to manage resources effectively.
