Investigating novel traits for pregnancy loss in Norwegian red cattle

Abstract

The task was to identify potential traits to describe the incidence of pregnancy loss in Norwegian Red cows. To evaluate the trait, variance components and heritability were estimated. Subsequently, a genome-wide association analysis was employed for a brief investigation to identify the potential of genetic and phenotype associations.
