dc.description.abstract	For the Swedish winter wheat the hardiness is an extremely important agronomic character. The main problem of the breeding also is to combine the highest potency of this very character witb the highest possible yicld, quality strenght of straw, resistance to diseases etc. In this breeding towards a safe overwintering the old indigenous wheats play an important rôle as a source of genes for hardiness.	en_US
