Vikan fjordpark : tilgjengeliggjøring av sjøkanten i Fillan

Abstract

Vikan er et havneområde i Fillan på øya Hitra i Trøndelag. I forbindelse med etablering av havnen ble det gjort store inngrep i strandsonen. I dag er ikke området tilrettelagt for opphold og oppleves øde.

Oppgaven ser på muligheten for å tilgjengeliggjøre sjøkanten i Fillan ved å transformere havneområdet til en sosial arena i form av en fjordpark med småbåthavn, sjøbad, arenaer for stedsbasert læring og forbindelser til uberørt natur.

Oppgaven ser også på hvordan fjordparken kan bidra til en mer bærekraftig strandsoneforvaltning ved skape bevisstgjøring og engasjement rundt strandsonen. I tillegg er fjordparkens utforming basert på grep innen marin landskapsarkitektur.

Oppgaven bygger på Randolph T. Hesters prinsipper om økologisk demokrati.

This thesis takes on ways to make the seafront in Fillan accessible by transforming the harbour into a social arena. The harbour will become a fjord park with a boat harbour, sea bath, arenas for place-baced learning, and connected paths to untouched nature.

The thesis also looks at how the fjord park kan contribute to a more sustainable development of coastal areas by making space for awareness regarding coastal areas. In addition, the fjord park will be designed by principles of marine landscape architecture.

The assignment is based on the principles of ecological democracy by Randolph T. Hester.
