The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to increased knowledge of potential impacts of climate change on the welfare of households in developing countries. It focuses on impacts of changing temperature and precipitation as well as weather extremes, with agriculture as the main channel of impact. The intended contribution of the thesis is twofold. The first contribution is methodological, in further developing approaches to modeling rural households in developing countries. The second contribution is empirical, in applying these approaches to relevant contexts. The thesis consists of four independent research papers and an introductory chapter.nb_NO
