En mobbefri skolegård : utforming av skolegårder med et antimobbeperspektiv

Abstract

Teoridelen starter med en beskrivelse av omfang av, årsak til og tiltak mot mobbing. Den fortsetter med en gjennomgang av forskning og kunnskap om det fysiske miljøets betydning med spesiell vekt på miljøpsykologien. På tross av at mobbeproblematikken er så grundig undersøkt, finnes det relativt lite materiale om betydning av utforming av skolegården. Skolegårdene ved fire osloskoler er undersøkt og analysert med utgangspunkt i seks ulike kategorier: areal, vegetasjon, rom, konfliktsoner, transparent miljø og aktivitet. Ved å sammenligne resultater om mobbing fra Elevundersøkelsen med kvaliteten på utearealet ved skolen, forsøker oppgaven å finne sammenhenger mellom den gode skolegård og den mobbefrie skole.

The theory begins with a description of the extent, the cause and the actions against bullying. It continues with a review of research and knowledge about the importance of the physical environment with particular emphasis on environmental psychology. Despite the fact that the bullying problem has been thoroughly investigated, there is relatively little material about the importance of the design of the schoolyard. The schools at four Oslo schools are examined and analyzed based on six different categories: area, vegetation, room structures, hotspots, transparent environment and activity. By comparing results on bullying from the Student survey (Elevundersøkelsen) with the quality of outdoor space at the school, the thesis attempts to find connections between the good schoolyard and the schoolyard free of bullying.
