What is the product's strengths and the weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the light of the various parts of the model «the holistic tourism product" (Kamfjord 2011). A document analysis formed the basis for a stakeholder analysis that led to the selection of informants to semi-structured interview. The interviews based on a SWOT analysis to illuminate Hjørundfjorden rundt as a holistic tourism product. This led to the analysis of Hjørundfjorden rundt that aimed to answer the research question. It emerged in the discussion of the analysis that the Hjørundfjorden rundt have factors for and against that the products is a holistic tourism product. The key factors for were strong core industries, nature and culture of high quality and good infrastructure that formed the basis for living rural communities. Factors pointing against were low knowledge about the guest, lack of efforts to create experiences, incomplete trails and poor markings, no information about the product, an unclear profile, not properly presented for individual and few committed relationship.
