dc.description.abstract | This thesis is a result of a wish, and a need, to research into the development of alternative use of agricultural properties and associated buildings in Aurskog-Høland, a municipality in eastern Norway. The thesis is meant to survey the challenges and opportunities a property developer can come across when he/she wants to develop an existing agricultural property including the farm buildings. It also describes some development projects that have been accomplished in Aurskog-Høland, and shows how different developers have experienced the development period until the finished product. The thesis (briefly) deals with topics such as economy, observed opportunities and challenges, motivation, and laws. In addition, it surveys how professional property developers, here defined as macro developers, regard the main subject: the development of agricultural and associated buildings. | en_US |
