| dc.description.abstract | Tema i denne masteroppgaven er økosamfunn som en fremtidsrettet og bærekraftig måte å leve og bo på. I arbeidet med oppgaven har det vært et mål å opparbeide seg kunnskap om og se på motivasjonen for økosamfunn. Ulike økosamfunn i Sverige og Danmark er vurdert. Økosamfunn bygger på økologiske prinsipper og søker en miljøvennlig profil med redusert ressursbruk og med så mange sluttede kretsløp innenfor et område om mulig. Den tilegnede kunnskapen om temaet og ulike løsninger innen økosamfunnene gav grunnlaget til å svare på oppgavens problemstilling: Hvordan skape et velfungerende, stedstilpasset og fremtidsrettet boligområde med fokus på bærekraftige løsninger og redusert ressursbruk? Oppgavens siste del (del 4) viser til et konkret tilfelle hvor en grunneier i Strand kommune har hatt ideen om en økolandsby på sin eiendom. Det er utarbeidet et skisseprosjekt av økolandsbyen på bakgrunn av å ha gjennomført en landskapsanalyse og vurdering av stedets ressurser, særpreg og muligheter. Økosamfunn vil være et viktig bidrag på veien mot et bærekraftig samfunn. Dette er et område der landskapsarkitekter kan ha mye å bidra med. In this master’s thesis we have looked at intentional communities as a future oriented and sustainable way of life.
In our work with the thesis it has been a goal to generate knowledge about, and look at the motivation for intentional communities. For the thesis we have visited and reviewed fi ve diff erent intentional communities in Sweden and Denmark. These communiti es are based on ecological principles and aspire to be environmentally friendly with reduced resource consumption. Our research on the topic and diff erent methods adopted by the intentional communities comprises the foundation of our thesis: How to create a functioning, location customised, and future oriented residential area with focus on sustainable solutions and reduced resource consumption? The final part of the thesis is concerned with a realworld example in which a land owner in Strand County has had the idea of turning some of his property into an eco-village. We have compiled a
preliminary design for the eco-village based on our landscape analysis and a review of its potential and unique possibilities.
Intentional communities will be an important contribution in the eff orts to create a sustainable society and this is a fi eld in which landscape architects can provide much needed expertise. | en_US |
